Kristen Bullard is the first User Experience Program Manager at the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives. As part of the Research Services department, Kristen leads a comprehensive program of user-focused communications, outreach, and training related to SLA services and collections use. Kristen also manages the SLA Prism (SI staff intranet) and Library Research Tools sites and coordinates SLA teams and initiatives focused on the user experience.
Kristen joined the Smithsonian Libraries in 2012, and for the first six years she served as the Branch Librarian for the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute. She previously worked for the University of Houston, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. Kristen received her Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill, and her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Texas A & M University.
