Professional Biography

  • JJ Dearborn serves the Biodiversity Heritage Library as Data Manager, working to share BHL data to the broader biodiversity community and the world.

    She has worked on open access projects for the Peabody Essex Museum, Harvard University’s Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the City of Boston, and the State of Massachusetts. 

    Dearborn holds an Masters of Science in Library and Information Science from Simmons College, Boston and a Bachelors in History from University of California, Los Angeles. 

    She is passionate about liberating data and information, enabling the biodiversity community, and environmental conservation.
