Partnerships Manager
Eileen is responsible for establishing and expanding partnerships for visiting researchers, fellows and interns through program development and strategic partnerships.
Eileen came to OFI after serving as the Program Manager for Scientific Collections International (SciColl), an international initiative headquartered at the Smithsonian. She managed the development of a Global Registry of Scientific Collections (GRSciColl), an online registry of institutions and the scientific collections they hold as part of SciColl’s objective to improve access to information about collections. She also represents SciColl to the U.S. Inter-Agency Working Group for Scientific Collections.
Prior to joining SciColl and the Smithsonian in 2013, Eileen managed samples and data collected across numerous academic institutions and disciplines on behalf of NOAA as part of the ecological impact assessment of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Her background is in marine science including marine ecology and physical/biological estuarine dynamics.
