Postdoctoral Fellow
Dan Herrera uses camera traps to study medium and large mammal community dynamics in both Kenya and the United States (DC metro region, Maryland and Virginia). He is specifically interested in how landscape features shape species assemblages and animal behavior, predator-prey interactions, and the role of human behavior/activities on wildlife. Dan uses Bayesian hierarchal modeling techniques to analyze his data, and is particularly interested in data visualization and science communication.
