Amy Homma is the Director of Digital Learning at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. For five years, Amy has overseen the growth of the ARTLAB+ program, the signature afterschool program of the Smithsonian Institution. Under her leadership, the ARTLAB+ program has served over 18,000 local teens and reached a critical level of success, with multiple invitations to White House events and national and international recognition amongst museum education programs.
In the past, Amy has worked for the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Amy centers her work on her foundational knowledge of art historical content and informal learning best practices, receiving her Bachelors in East Asian Art History at The University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Masters in Museum Education at The George Washington University.
