I serve as the Librarian at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC), and am part of the reference team at the National Museum of Natural History Library.
I teach and consult on several information tools and products. As part of the Smithsonian's Data Carpentries team, I teach Data Organization in Spreadsheets for Ecologists and Data Cleaning with OpenRefine. I can also offer these classes as stand-alones. I am available for consultations on the Web of Science (science citation) and Pivot (grants) databases, data organization and metadata for small projects, and citation management (with particular expertise in Zotero).
