The sexual generations for D. mamillana and D. prehensa are described based on a combination of molecular and host plant data. A new species, Disholcaspis erugomamma Cooke-McEwen n. sp., is described from Texas. The locations for the various type specimens and image data for a majority of the species in the genus are presented with discussion about the overall morphology of the genus. Lastly, a large image-based dataset was established for this group to aid in an eventual revision of the genus.
